SELAH WORSHIP WEEKEND AT HOPE KUCHING

Selah 2019 took place at Hope Kuching over the weekend of 27-29 September with invited speakers Ps. Torch and Adam from Hope Brisbane. The worship weekend themed ‘Reinforce, Refresh, Reconnect’ was a platform for our worship ministers to reinforce their foundation of worship, be refreshed in their walk with God and reconnect with one another. The weekend kicked off on Friday night with an exciting ice breaking game ‘Song Scramble’ that got everyone on their feet. This was followed by praise and worship and Ps Torch’s teaching on The Heart of Worship, reinforcing that worship is our life 24-7. It is a sacrifice of praise onto God, a form of service and submission to God.

Saturday started off with more ice breaking games and a lesson on The Identity, worship ministers being Levites who are priests serving in the house of God. As priests, we host tabernacles, carry the presence of God, minister to God and bless the people through worship. The ultimate goal was to be able to minister to people through songs and music. We then had a worship tune in session in the afternoon where worship leaders, vocalists and musicians received hands on training on their skill set, jamming the song ‘What A Beautiful Name’ in teams. In this session, we also touched on the key foundation for effective teamwork. We moved on to The Flow that night, learning to be led by and move with the Holy Spirit. Many came forward with testimonies of miracles upon miracles of healing (musculoskeletal pains, limb length discrepancy) and songs of the Spirit filled the air as the Holy Spirit moved among the people.

It did not stop there as more miraculous healing took place during the 3 Sunday services, as the worship ministers prayed for the people who came pouring out for prayer. Our final lesson was on 'The Presence Carriers' that afternoon and we closed with a session of appreciation and reflection by the participants. Many of us were also blessed with words of prophecy that weekend. It was a truly amazing weekend learning about the depth of our role as worship ministers and the extent of the power of worship. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank Ps Torch and Adam for the impartation of knowledge and blessing. That weekend, we went home with so much more, our life changed and hearts anew.
