HIM Peru Church Camp - Encounter God

 

Our HIM Peru family had our church camp on the second week of February 2020 with the theme “Encounter with God in Praise and worship”. Our Peruvian family was reminded by God´s Word that our Praise and Worship brings God´s Presence among us and in us to be refreshed and guided by his Holy Spirit to accomplish God´s vision in our lives. Praise and Worship starts in our hearts and continue in our life testimony walking in spirit and in truth before God.

Some friends commented: “It is good to know that God intervenes in our circumstances everytime we cry out to Him in Praise and Worship. It was indeed a joyful time when all of us gave our Praise and Worship to God by singing and dancing together. All our concerns and fears melted away as we pray and praise together to our wonderful God. Now, we understand why some Psalms say “that our Lord is our joy and strength”.

Besides our times with God, our Peruvian family had a good fellowship with our new friends from Venezuela who joined our Church one year ago. Our Venezuelan friends came from a Catholic background. They enjoyed our Christian hospitality and they like our Church. Our Venezuelan friends came to Peru like refugees, escaping from the hardship in their country. We hope that one day, Venezuela will have peace and freedom with more economical stability. These Venezuelan families came to Peru separately using different routes. We took this opportunity to celebrate that these Venezuelan families are re-united by God’s grace.

The highlight of our Church Camp was when Peruvians and Venezuelans raised up their voices together in Praise and Worship to God. We asked that our nations have an encounter with God and for God´s Kingdom to comes into our nations with His peace, freedom and salvation in the Almighty name of our Lord Jesus.** “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds”. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
