HOPE VANCOUVER CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

Christmas celebration at our church was fun and exciting. Our theme for the celebration was Obeying God's call for his purposes in our lives. Our guest speaker shared about how she obeyed God's call to start a ministry to feed the homeless in the city. Because she said yes to God, God provided the means for her.

Then our worship team was awesome as well because of Knot, one of our youth worship leader, who studies in Ontario wanted to help out in the celebration. He flew home 3,000 km just to be with his family and to help lead worship for the celebration. I felt the worship for our celebration was awesome.

Another exciting thing about our celebration was Jenny, who moved and now works in Alberta but grew up in our church, wanted to take part in the celebration. She also flew home to be with family be at our celebration. She is a recreational rapper and she wrote a piece for our celebration. I thought that was the highlight.

But better yet, Santa decided to come to our Christmas celebration free of charge. He is the husband of one of our salon customers. Our lady customer told us that someone is willing to pay him up to $300 to show at their family party because his features are very much like Santa. Yet, he declined because he wanted to join our Christmas celebration. The couple doesn't go to any church but enjoyed every part of the celebration especially, our fellowship. Their final comment of our Christmas celebration was that they have never seen any group of people with so much joy.
