HIM OASIS BANGKOK - DEEPER ENCOUNTER CAMP

Every year, Oasis travels outside Bangkok to conduct its camp called 'Encounter' as one of its evangelism strategies. This year, on board two buses and three vans, Oasis headed off to Phusakthan Resort in Nakhon Nayok, South of Thailand. From April 12-15, the 129 campers enjoyed their 2.5 hour drive from Bangkok expectant of their personal encounters with God. This year’s theme is "Deeper Encounter" from Jeremiah 33:3.
Five nations were represented namely, America, India, Pakistan, the Philippines and Thailand. This increases our leaders' motivation to reach more souls, even from different nations in Thailand.

Pastor James Loke and Pastor Soradej Meesaengtham preached powerfully, shared truths about men in the Bible and their life-transforming encounters with God.
Day 1 started with the Mission Night ,where each cluster represented a continent. The Life Groups wore the national costumes of their represented nations. Moving, inspiring and even hilarious presentations were rendered by each cluster.
The next day was an exciting Sunrise worship, were the campers rose up before dawn to worship before the sunrise. Songkran Festival or water fight in Thailand was celebrated during that time and was observed all over the country. Oasis had their own version of 'water battle' as they grouped all campers into different teams for the indoor and outdoor games. The day concluded with the Grand Opening where a mini-production of Moses, his calling and the deliverance of Israel was dramatized by the Dance, Mime & Drama Team.

The final day was concluded with the commissioning of Pastor Mayette, the cluster leaders, and the Dynamic Group leaders, before finally praying for the other campers.
The Kids In Motion (KIM) was not left behind as they prepared interesting and interactive ideas for the child campers. They enjoyed baking, jar painting, camping in a tent and other engaging activities courtesy of the KIM teachers.

High-energy praise and worship brought the people to an unstoppable praise atmosphere. Intimate moments of worship led everyone before God's presence, moving them to respond not only within, but it was evident even outwardly. There were reports of healing when Pastor James identified specific cases of sicknesses. Some accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, and were saved that day.
Life-changing deeper encounter with God; this is what every camper expects in every Oasis Encounter which excites everyone. Everyone is looking forward and set to be a part of Encounter 2015!
