HOPE GOLD COAST CAMP

 

Hope Gold Coast held our church camp from Friday 4th to Monday 7th October 2019. The theme of the camp was FLOURISH (Made for more) and we had three speakers – Ps Lance Wolter, Kevin Choo and Jason Lee. As children of God, we are called to multiply and be fruitful in every season. Fruitfulness is a RESULT of salvation – not a prerequisite. Spiritual fruitfulness is the expected outcome of a sustained and intimate connection with Christ. We will reap what we sow. 

God expects us to be fruitful and those branches that are not bearing good fruit will be pruned or cut off so that they can bear even more fruit. 

Galatians 6:7-9 “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up”. 

We shared a time of seeking God together and fellowshipping with one another. God moved powerfully and lives were touched at the Flourish camp. Everyone had a testimony of what God had done in their hearts and lives through the camp. We had a healing miracle even when we didn't specifically pray for it. One of our members had broken her arms a while back and she hadn't been able to move her arm freely and without pain. On the second night while she was praying for another member, out of nowhere she was able to move her arm freely and the pain left her body. She hasn't had pain since then. 

We also have others who experienced the love of God so tangibly during camp which changed their walk with God. The presence of God was very strong on the last night, purifying the hearts of His children and commitments were made by many to follow Jesus wholeheartedly. On the last day many people shared their testimonies, and tears of joy filled the room as we listened to the amazing work of God in the lives of His children. We truly praise God for what He had done during camp.
