HIM THAILAND PASTOR'S SUMMIT

The world is experiencing the ‘new normal’, and HIM Pastor’s Summit (HPS) responded well to the altered pattern. After five months of lockdown, HPS, which is now in its fifth year, gathered Thailand Pastors, Coordinators, and their Core Teams together. Though the set-up of the conference room had to comply with social distancing measures, this did not hinder nor affect God’s move at all. The summit carried the very timely theme of ‘Spiritual Covering.

HIM Thailand Elders - Pastor Chuchart of HIM Chiangmai, Pastor Chaiyapruck of HIM Hadyai, and Pastor Young, the coordinator for central Bangkok, were the main speakers for the lessons and the general assemblies, but it was Pastor James Loke who delivered the first message via online means. Pastor Kobchai gave a moving message on the challenges that everyone is currently facing. He stressed that these things are written in the Bible, and exhorted everyone to remain strong. The panel discussion by the HIM Thailand Elders and Senior Pastors allowed everyone to hear their hearts. Our young Pastor from HIM-Hang Dong (Chiangmai) testified on how he applied the 3S approach (Spirit, Structure, and Strategy) that contributed to his church's expansion.

The HIM Missions initiative updated everyone on the progress of HIM-Thailand’s goal of reaching 77 provinces. All the breakout seminars were engaging, and the workshop led by Dr. Gym Chaisombat and Dr. Mind was informative. Overall, the summit featured a balance of training and fun-filled icebreakers, where Pastor Chaiyapruck won in one of the challenges. The HIPO group treated the audience with the string orchestra on the Gala Night, where everyone exhibited their cultural identity through their beautiful national costumes.
