HOPE KUCHING FAMILY DAY

Hope Family Day was held on November 7 at Stampark Recreation Park, Kuching. More than 700 members and children participated in the event. It started off with morning exercise led by a group of energetic Uni group students. Then the games started at 9am, with Pastor Denis Lu officiating the event. All participants were divided into 10 teams. Each team had its theme colour where all members wore attire that matched that colour.

The cheer of each team was creative, and some were really mind blowing! All 10 teams competed in 5 different games over a 2 hour duration. Each game required teamwork, creativity and energy from every team. At the end of the games, prizes were given away to the winners. Water baptism followed after that. A total of 37 people underwent water baptism, signifying their faith in Jesus Christ. The event ended with a picnic where each team brought their own food and shared with other teams, putting Christ's love in practice.

Hope Family Day was truly an event that has pulled all Hope members together, not so much in winning the games, but to foster relationships with each other. This can be seen as one of the powerful ways to strengthen God's people.
