HIM BANGKOK OASIS CHURCH: ENCOUNTER CAMP

HIM BANGKOK-Oasis Church with its 175 delegates, including children, headed off to Nakhon Ratchasima for its 4th Encounter Camp at The Bloom (Khao Yai). The theme 'Extraordinary Encounter' proved real to the campers who testified that they experienced extraordinary encounters with God through the various parts of the event. The venue itself, with its natural and beautiful setting, inspired one to easily focus on God throughout the whole camp.

God's presence moved in special ways during the worship time, the workshops, the sunrise service, the indoor and outdoor games, the group reflection, the personal devotion, and even during the fellowship times in every meal.

Delegates from overseas both from HIM and from other churches came. When the pre-believers and new believers encountered God, one of the church's purposes for the camp had been achieved. Next year, the same venue is being considered after the camp committee learned that the owner is a Christian!

It was difficult to say that the highlight was any one part of the 'Encounter' but it would be best to conclude that, it was God's presence that made the difference from it being just another camp.  HIM-Oasis is very grateful to Pastor Denis Lu of Hope Kuching, for accepting the invitation to be the event's main speaker, and for sharing precious testimonies and practical insights to the Word. One's ears need to be quick in catching truths that were delivered generously. We cannot forget to acknowledge Pastor Mayette Alkuino, Oasis' Head Pastor who preached powerfully, provided deep insight and a different perspective on the Word.

Encounter 2015 concluded with prayers of commissioning for every camper.
