HOPE LIMA IN PERU: PASTOR JEFF'S VISITATION

Pastor Jeff touched down in Lima after visiting both churches in Quito and Santiago. Besides enjoying the great company with Pastor Jeff over delicious Peruvian food, music and dance, by the Lord’s leading, the leadership team in Hope Peru had a great and powerful time worshipping the Lord together and hearing lots from the Holy Spirit. Everyone’s heart was strengthened and affirmed to continue to grow the church biblically and Christ-centred. They were encouraged not to look at their own strength and efforts, but to let Christ be the leader of His Church.

Hope Peru was started 11 years ago with only 5 members from Hope Singapore. Now, the local leaders are ready to take over the leadership to continue to win Peru for Christ. Oscar was appointed as the new pastor over Hope Lima. Together with his team, David, Edith, Diana, Laura, Maria, Marianela, Lizbeth, Victorina and German, they were all commissioned to lead and grow Hope Peru. This historical moment was witnessed by local pastors from other churches, members, friends and family. Everyone was faith-filled to receive this new appointment from Pastor Jeff.

Peruvians for Peru, Ecuadorians for Ecuador. That’s the catch phrase through the pulpit. It’s great to see how local leadership grew and became convicted to continue to love God and to love and disciple the people of their own country. All of us have great faith to see this continent being won by Christ. There will be new ideas, new challenges and newness in the spirit in this coming new phase of church life in all the three churches in South America.

Please keep the local leadership teams (Peru and Ecuador) in your prayers and may God’s kingdom continue to extend in this continent. We want to see Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, etc, to be won for Christ as the Lord’s favour is upon Hope Singapore and all the churches in South America.

Psalm 127:1 Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labour in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.
