ABLAZE SERVICE'S 8TH ANNIVERSARY: BELONG

Ablaze, the youth service of Hope Church Brisbane, celebrated its 8th Anniversary on 27 March 2015 with the theme “Belong”. Ablaze Service’s room was transformed with couches and beanbags providing a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for the entire celebration.

The anniversary kicked off with a lively praise and worship session celebrating God’s goodness and blessings over Ablaze Service. The co-hosts then came in and led a game of “pass the parcel”…with a twist. Each layer of the parcel contained an old photograph of Ablaze members – guess incorrectly at your peril. Following from the game, the co-hosts interviewed members of the service where they shared their hearts and stories about their time in Ablaze.



Pastor Torch then preached about what it means to truly belong in God’s church. Every heart was empowered to take ownership of Ablaze Service and to be part of the family. Everyone at Ablaze Anniversary was reminded about what it truly means to BELONG in the house of God. It's about being part of a family: taking ownership and sharing life with one another. Let us all BELONG in the house of God! The festivities concluded with a buffet as everyone fellowshipped and reflected on an incredible eight years of Ablaze Service.
