ABLAZE KUCHING: TIMEOUT II YOUTH CAMP

Timeout II, a three-day church camp organized by Ablaze Kuching was carried out on the 18th of November during the school holidays. We had over 60 participants this time round. This camp was attended by high school students. We had our first Timeout camp at the end of last year. 



Timeout II began like any other camp, awkward smiles and not knowing each other. But as we moved on, learning about God, playing hilarious games and having the time of our lives, everybody started to feel like family. In this camp, we learned about Basic Christian Doctrines. This is a very interesting topic for new believers and is something that every Christian should know. We learnt about doctrines such as the Trinity, Man, Sin, Salvation, Hell, Heaven and many other interesting topics. We had the honour of being taught by Pastor Denis, Pastor Laurence and our very committed sister, Nicola Song. 



Despite the amusing and interesting teachings, everybody could feel the seriousness of the topics and always paid close attention. God really moved through everything; in the small talk during devotion, the intense worship and even fellowship between the groups. The conception of this camp came from a desire to reach out to the unsaved but also to make sure that the next generation of youth knows about the God whom they love and worship. It definitely was a success as 4 people had chosen to commit their lives to Him during this camp.
