HOPE CAMBODIA CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

For the past 2 years, my team and I were the ones who planned Christmas parties for our friends in Cambodia. However this year, the Cambodian brothers and sisters took over the planning. Even though it was the first time that they organise a Christmas event, they took it on with much enthusiasm. For most of them, it was their first time leading games, leading praise and worship and emceeing for such an event.

However, they were excited to be able to serve God despite their lack of experience or even abilities. It is very encouraging to see the Cambodian brothers and sisters serving the Lord with their best even though they may be young in their walk with the Lord.

On that day, we saw some new friends and some old friends joining our Christmas gathering. For most of them, it was the first time that they have heard about the real meaning of Christmas as they have always thought that Christmas is about Santa Claus and gift exchange. We believe that a seed has been sown and some of these friends continue to join us for the following Sundays as they learn more about the gospel.

It was a simple celebration, nothing fancy, yet filled with the love of God among the Cambodian believers. May God continue to do mighty things in their lives as they live out the gospel.

 In Him,

 Chloe Chen Team Cambodia
