HOPE GERMANY LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

HOPE Germany held it's first Leadership Conference (LC) from October 2nd until 5th, 2014 in Stuttgart. More than 270 leaders, most of them from Germany but also from France, Poland, the Czech Republic, Spain, Switzerland, Romania and Albania came together. 

In this Leadership Conference, we taught about the five-fold ministry. How do you teach a complex topic such as the five-fold ministry? You break it up into its elements and look at them individually and then you put them back together. That was what we did at this LC, by exhorting people to grow in our calling and painting the big picture of God’s church and His Kingdom. But we all know that hearing without doing is deceptive.

That is why all five areas of ministry where put into practice right there: We gave each other counselling after looking at the ministry of a pastor. We talked about apostolic leadership and sat down as leaders to reflect on the next steps for our churches. We heard about the prophetic ministry and saw it in action. We held various workshops on evangelism and then went out to show God’s love on the streets of Stuttgart in all kinds of ways. We learned how to teach from the Bible and in small groups reflected on how to use Ephesians 4:11 for instruction. Finally, these five areas of ministry were put together again to show how God uses these various gifts and callings to prepare for Himself a purified and unified bride that is ready for Christ’s return.

There were amazing stories of divine encounters during the Stuttgart LC evening outreach. Even strangers were invited in and shared their stories of being touched by God as our European teams went out in to the streets in the afternoon of outreach.

The second picture is of a young Christian man who was suffering from depression. He felt to go on a train to Stuttgart. He met some of our delegates who invited him for the conference. He was on crutches because his foot had been crushed in an accident.


Healing testimony

During the conference, some people prayed for him to be healed. He did not think anything would happen. Then, one of the delegates grabbed his crutches and lifted it high away from him and challenged him to walk and jump. So, he tried walking with his injured foot and tried to jump. He was miraculously healed! He can walk properly now without any pain. Praise God!
