NORTH AMERICA ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2014: HARVEST

Our North American Annual Conference started with a momentous collective shout of “Harvest Together,” which kicked off our 2014 conference. This year's conference was hosted by Hope Seattle church from July 3rd - 6th 2014 at Camp Berachah outside Seattle in the state of Washington. It was our annual family reunion for North American HIM brothers and sisters. Each summer we get reacquainted with each other as well as our global leaders. This year the weather was nice and cool. 

We were so blessed by the teachings from and meal-time fellowship with Dr Wilson, Ps Lai Ling, Ps Ben and Ps. Dinah. In fact they come straight into the conference after a conducting a pastors retreat.

The conference started with a heartfelt opening ceremony skit performance conducted by the Hope Seattle church’s Rise Group, a young adults fellowship, followed by a spirit-filled praise and worship to start off the conference in the halls of Camp Berachah. Hope LA and Hope Chicago carried the spirit of worship all the way through the end of the conference.

Our conference was blessed with the prophetic move of the Holy Spirit by Dr. Linnis Perry and Ps Lai Ling. We were also inspired but the message of our guest speaker, Dr. Bryan Johnson. Many members got to interact with our leaders first-hand during workshop sessions.

This year’s workshop topics were special and included;

• Evangelism 101 by Dr Eric Hebert, 
• Prophetic Evangelism by Ps. Lai Ling, 
• Fivefold ministry by Dr Linnis, 
• The Right Mind by Ps. JR and 
• Sexual Wholeness by Ps Ben and Ps Dinah

One unforgettable prop was this huge tree that Seattle team built. This became the favourite picture taking spot. Then various interest groups spouted after each night session. They included a group discussing the book of Revelations, special teaching in Thai and young adult ministry.  On Saturday afternoon, we rejoiced as Ps Ben baptised 2 members including a wheelchair-bound sister.

HARVEST marks yet another successful and fruitful year for the brothers and sisters of HIM North America. The theme of HARVEST truly resonated with us and the impassioned sermon and teaching only increased our desire more be the harvesters that Christ intended for us to be. Lets, “Harvest Together!”
