HOPE PERU - 10TH ANNIVERSARY CAMP

Hope Peru celebrated its 10th birthday in Jan 2014. The whole church was at the campsite called "The Renewal" to have our 2-day-1-night celebration camp.

The theme for our annual church camp was “The Gospel”. It was a refreshing reminder for everyone about who Christ is and what He has really done on the Cross. Through the teachings about the Gospel, all of us were also taught and challenged to live out the Gospel in our daily lives and in a gospel-centred community for Him. Besides the leadership team and regular members, we also saw half of the participants who are either non-regular church visitors or non-believers.



Besides learning the Word, we also had a wonderful time eating different Peruvian cuisines, swimming in the summer heat and having water tele-matches at the pool. At night, there was even a campfire where all of us just talked, danced and sang to the Lord in local Peruvian language and dance. At the close of the camp, we also celebrated the baptism of two sisters who just came to know the Lord. 



Through the Gospel message, we are convinced that it is no longer I that live but Christ who lives in me that makes all the difference from now until eternity. We are glad that daily and weekly in our church, more people and communities are being transformed by the power of the Gospel as we share it and live it out.
