HOPE BRISBANE - HANDS OF HOPE

COMMUNITYKIDZ
CommunityKidz was set up to provide support to local schools, either by assisting in existing programs or by starting new ones to meet specific needs of a school. As Hands of Hope, we want to see a generation of young people growing up to be confident, healthy, motivated individuals that God has called them to be. Our aim is to nourish and develop young people in a positive way.
BREAKFAST CLUB
Every Wednesday, we help run a free breakfast club at Algester State School. Our aim is to help kids get a good start to the day, as this contributes to their overall success and wellbeing. On average, we go through 6 loaves of bread, 3 litres of milk, cereal, and fruits each time. Kids, from prep to Grade 7, absolutely love the food and love spending time with our volunteers.
“I want to say a special thanks to Hands of Hope for the support you have provided to Algester Primary. With the support from Hands of Hope, we have had a big influx of students coming in for Breakfast Club. As a group of servants, we serve vegemite and jam toast, cereal, fruit and milk to God’s young sheep. The students are enjoying the company of new faces in the school and love interacting with them. Thank you again from Algester.”
- Andrea Lee, Chaplain of Algester State School
THE KINDNESS BANK
Some of us are extremely fortunate to have such blessed life. The Kindness Bank is our donation drives initiative to bless those who are less fortunate than we are. Our aim is to love and empower people out of their crisis or poverty through different donation campaigns that we run several times throughout the year.
WINTER WARMERS

As winter season is here, Hands of Hope embarked on a winter warmers collection drive aimed at blessing the men that come through Romero Centre based in Brisbane. The people who come through this centre are of refugee background and have had to flee from extremely depriving and dangerous circumstances. Over two weekends (8 June and 15 June weekends), we saw people from across 4 Hope Church centers (Ablaze, Gold Coast, St Lucia and Willawong) bringing in winter clothing, blankets, jackets, sleeping bags, canned food and long-life food. Donations are being sorted at the moment, and will be delivered to the Romero Centre within the next few weeks.
HANDS OF HOPE STAFF

VOLUNTEERS
Most of our efforts in the community are made possible solely by the help of cheerful and amazing volunteers whom Jessica helps to manage and oversee. All the programs run through Hands of Hope over the past decade would not have been a success if it were not for our faithful volunteers. We are extremely grateful for all your support and prayers. If you have any community projects in mind, would like to volunteer, or simply drop a comment, feel free to contact Jessica at church office or email her at jessica.huang@handsofhope.org.au. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
