HIM THAILAND LEADERSHIP TRAINING IN CHIANG MAI

The 4th Leadership Training (LT) session of HIM Thailand was held in Chiang Mai on 23-25 June. LT has been synonymous with a time of teaching, equipping, bonding and planning for the pastors and leaders in HIM Thailand. 

Around 80 leaders gathered from all over Thailand. In the evenings they were joined by another 50 leaders from Chiangmai. The praise and worship sessions were very good even though some of the teams were assembled from various churches and did not have much time to practice together. The presence of God was strong during the worship sessions and there were several healings that took place.

Praise the Lord. There was much hunger for the Word as the topic of Identity was covered intensely by Ps James Loke, Advisor of HIM Thailand, in 6 one-hour sessions in one and a half days. Many responded to the Word that was taught, and found it to be such a blessing that they planned to share it with their fellow church members. One of the highlights in the planning session was the desire to move towards the vision of 7720, planting a church in each of the seventy-seven provinces in Thailand by 2020.

One of the main strategies is the establishing of a training centre/bible school. A plot of land has been acquired and HIM Thailand is now in the process of constructing a building that will house classrooms and dormitories. Some leaders have the desire to be trainers/teachers in the new centre and will be studying for degrees to equip them to teach.
