HOPE CZECH REPUBLIC - BIBLE SEMINAR

Hope Czech Republic was started by Dr Ondrej and Dr Jana Sobotka as they were medical students. Because of their love for the Lord and zeal for the kingdom, from one church in Prague, the capital city of the nation, it has grown into a network of churches in 4 cities/towns across the country.

I made a visit to Prague in March for their Bible seminar. On the night before the seminar, a group of people gathered in a ministry house for a Q&A session on the subject of the End Times. Not only were questions answered, everyone also learned some principles of Bible interpretation. This helped them to approach verses that are difficult to understand or might seem contradictory.

On the next day, our brothers and sisters from around the country gathered in a community hall for the Bible seminar called Hope Day. In His Arms was the theme of this event. I had the rare opportunity to worship the Lord in the Czech language. Though I had no idea what I was singing, the presence of God was so strong in our midst. Worship is truly a universal language.




I spent the next hour delivering a message on who Christ is to the church. He is the owner, the founder, the life, the head and the bridegroom of the church. In addition to this, the congregation had a chance to learn from different workshops and be encouraged by amazing testimonies.

The day was ended with a fellowship dinner with the leadership team of Hope Czech Republic, followed by another Q&A session. I was so encouraged by the unity and humility of the team and their hunger to learn. Despite the hard work and exhausting hours of meetings, both corporately and individually, this trip was amazingly rewarding and fulfilling. I just can't wait to pay a visit to them again.
