HOPE BRISBANE KIDS' CONFERENCE
God blessed us with perfect Queensland weather at UNIDUS. Volunteers arrived early in the morning to set up the decorations for the Kid's Conference that was held in conjunction with the Family ‘Stronger’ Conference on 5th October 2013.
After hours of love put into decorating, the room looked amazing! A little nook with a cosy sofa brought warmth to the room. This was where the kids sat down and listened to what God was going to unveil. On the other end of the room was a mural of their family tree drawings, which they had prepared throughout the whole month. Some families were coloured as superheroes and some looked like the brainiest family ever! We knew our hard work had paid off and God was going to do the rest.
We were privileged to have OKTV, a kid’s ministry passionate about worship, lead the kids in teaching and worship. Pastor Brendon and Cathie Clancy are such a dynamic duo! While they entertained the kids (and volunteers) with their zany dialogues, they imparted such great truths into each child. One was an illustration of how worship brings us closer to God and strengthens our spirit.
So much of God’s presence was at the conference. But the icing on the cake was during the soaking time (or ministry time). The children were told to lie down and wait for a vision from God. God indeed gave visions and spoke to our children. God told them how He was a force-field protecting them always, robed them in purple, and affirmed them of their position as children of God. The Word was spoken through skits, stories, and worship. As the Clancy’s were passionate about music, they left us with a song of praise that will always remind us of this conference’s theme: “Stronger I’m getting stronger with You”
