HOPE CHURCH MONTREAL MISSION TRIP TO JAMAICA

Jamaica Missions In April 2013, Louis and Caroline Parmentier from Espoir – Quebec (Hope Church Montreal) went on vacation to Montego Bay, Jamaica. The couple who is French-speaking naturally shared their faith with the English-speaking hotel staff, taxi drivers and many were touched. Many repented of their sins and made commitments for Christ. Louis and Caroline kept in touch with nine new believers and started mentoring them over phone. They particularly focussed on four persons. An English-speaking church, Hope Church Hatfield UK offered to help with the follow-up process.

Our church in Montreal felt that is was necessary to go visit the new believers on-site in Jamaica. So we planned a short-term mission trip together with collaboration with Hope Church Hatfield. During November 7th to November 14th 2013, a team of 4 persons (Eldos from Hatfield, Eric, Louis and Caroline from Montreal) spent a week on-site helping Jamaican new believers to start a Christian fellowship. The mission team brought printed resources, Bibles and shared our lives to lead them into knowing God more through the reading of Scripture, praise and prayer. In April 2014, Louis and Caroline intend to visit the new fellowship again during their next vacation.
