SERVING FOOD TO THE POOR IN ECUADOR

Phoebe and I celebrated our fifth year in Ecuador on 29 September 2013 serving in Pan de Vida. We are grateful to God that many of our church members came to help out in preparing and serving the food to the poor families and street children.

Matthew 25:35 "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in." We are thankful that we are given the opportunity to give Jesus something to eat and drink by offering the needy food and drink. At Pan de Vida, we taught the adults and children more about the Bible. Four people came to know the Lord that day.

Many of our church members were also involved in teaching the children and they served with joy as they ministered to the children. Our next project with Pan de Vida is to do an extreme makeover with one of the poorest families suffering with poor living conditions. We will renovate the house and provide for the necessities of the family.

Jesus says that we are the light of the world. We hope to be able to give light to the poorer families by providing for their needs and sharing with them the Word of God. We thank God for the avenue to do that in Pan de Vida.
