HIM SCHOOL OF LEADERSHIP
OBJECTIVES
HIM School of Leadership is intended to provide an intensive period of leadership training for existing leaders to further develop in their ministry. It is designed to provide key knowledge, impart anointing and enhance ministry skills to build vibrant churches. The School is designed to provide close student-trainer interaction and to provide a conducive environment to sharpen one another. Key speakers from HIM and guest speakers will focus on key areas of their expertise. Ministry opportunities will be created to build upon the topics learnt. Sign up and commit to prepare yourself for more effective ministry, specifically in pulpit ministry, spiritual leadership and church growth/health.
Dates and Venue
The School of Leadership shall run from 31 Dec until 24 Jan 2014 at Hope Kuching in the city of Kuching in Sarawak, Malaysia. Registration fees, accommodation options and study schedule can be found below.
MEET THE SPEAKERS
GARY HOURIGAN is principal minister of Hi-Pursuits Ltd, a Ministry dedicated to the development and resourcing of Christian movements, churches and individuals in pursuit of fulfilling the call of God on their lives. Gary is an ordained minister and works with several denominations, churches and individuals in various capacities. He is responsible for the development of church multiplication strategies within Christian Outreach Centre (COC) in Oceania. This includes church health strategies, coaching of pastors and church planters, development of leadership training systems for church multiplication, assessment of potential church planters etc. He is State Chairman for Christian Outreach Centre, overseeing 55 churches.
DR LIM PENG SOON is the President of Learning & Performance Systems. His areas of expertise are group dynamics and team development, leadership development, and organizational change. He has more than 26 years of experience in human resource development, and has worked with organizations in both public and private sectors. He has a Ph.D. from The George Washington University, USA in human and organizational learning.
DR JOHN NG is the President of Meta Consulting, which provides consultation services to top international corporations. He also serves as the Chair of Eagles Communications Board of Governance and directs its Eagles Leadership Institute programs. He is also the Chair of Eagles Mediation and Counseling Center Board of Governance. John has a Ph.D. in Interpersonal Communication from Northwestern University, USA. His books Dim Sum Leadership, Dim Sum for the Family, and the latest Smiling Tiger, Hidden Dragon have won raving reviews.
MICHAEL TAN is the Executive Vice-President at Eagles Communications. His portfolio includes overseeing the various ministries of the organization, its corporate services as well as managing Eagles VantagePoint, a bi-monthly magazine addressing issues related to church and the marketplace. He is a well received speaker on life and leadership development topics. Michael has a B.A.(Hons) in Theology from the London School of Theology, UK and a M.Th. from Trinity Theological College, Singapore.
SIMON ENG is the President of Hope International Ministries (HIM). HIM is a global church-planting family with over 300 churches in 40 nations. Now, he travels extensively all over the world to encourage various regional churches in the HIM family. He believes in and dedicates his whole life to building disciples who win souls, make disciples and plant churches.
WILSON LIM is the founding pastor of Hope Church Brisbane, a multicultural and multi-site church. He is currently an International Elder of Hope International Ministries and Regional Pastor over churches in Oceania with over 20 years of in ministry. He holds Bachelor and Doctorate degrees in Civil Engineering from Monash University and was previously a research scientist with CSIRO. He also holds a Masters of Theology from the University of Manchester.
LAI LING LIM co-founded Hope Church Brisbane and currently serves as associate pastor. Lai Ling has over 20 years ministry leadership experience and currently assists Wilson in his role as International Elder and Regional Pastor. She holds a Diploma in Biblical Studies & Ministry and a Diploma of Community Welfare (Counselling). Lai Ling’s passions are in the areas of supernatural ministry including the prophetic, intercession, healing and deliverance as well as pastoral care and counselling. She is also a devoted wife and mother of three children.
JEFF CHONG is the Senior Pastor of Hope Church (Singapore). Pastor Jeff is dedicated to see the church fulfill God’s calling and the Great Commission. He joined the church in 1992, and has pioneered and led the Youth, Mandarin and Adult congregations and since headed the church’s pastoral division for more than ten years. He has also ministered in many countries from Europe, Africa to Australia, teaching and preaching the Word of God to the churches there.
DENIS LU is one of the pioneering members of Hope Kuching with Pastor Simon in 1992. He currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Hope Kuching and is also overseeing the Hope Churches and Centres in Sabah, Labuan & Sarawak.
DENNIS LOH has been in Hope Singapore’s students ministry for 16 years and has seen the ministry growing and evolving to reach and build the generation today. After graduating from National University of Singapore (NUS), Dennis started working full-time in the church as a Youth Pastoral Staff and is currently leading about 150 students.
LAURENCE LEE was born in Kuala Lumpur and grew up in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. He graduated with a Bachelor in Electronic Engineering from the University of Sussex Brighton, UK in 1998. Laurence currently oversees the Education Department of Hope Malaysia churches. He regularly develops expository sermon notes, conference lessons, and teaching manuals for Hope Malaysia churches. He also pastors the Hope Kuching English Sunday morning service.
DAVID LIM serves as a fulltime research executive in Hope Church (Singapore). He graduated from the Assemblies of God Bible College with his Master of Theological Studies in 2010 and with his Master of Divinity in 2012. It is his desire to help more believers understand God’s message and encounter God’s presence through His written Word.
