KINGDOM PARTNERSHIP WITH 
A-P MOVEMENTS

HIM has over the years been planting churches as we envision fulfilling the Great Commission in our lifetime. This is an awesome cause and not for a moment do we think that we will complete it single-handedly, as a church or even as a global moment. We value other churches and their heart and efforts to fulfil the Great Commission and usher in the return of Jesus Christ. 

 ”So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”Ephesians 4:11-13 (NIV)

Hence, we see the importance of Kingdom partnerships with other churches and other movements. We believe that this will become increasingly important with the imminent return of Jesus. We believe that the five-fold ministry will be fully restored. Together with this restoration will be a cross-pollination of ministries across churches and movements.

Our emphasis on discipleship means that Christians need to be equipped for works of service and mature to be like Christ.

Kingdom partnerships could take various forms. One important area would be to honour and respect other ministries for their ability to equip. We hence selectively invite into our midst speakers who are able to train and equip us. Also, we have been visiting other churches and ministries, as well as joining specific external courses to learn in areas that will help us to be an even more biblical church.

We also recognise that there are five-fold ministers outside our movement who can also give good advice and counsel to us. Our global eldership and top leaders continually fellowship with these ministers outside our movement. Over time, we would like to develop strong ties with some of these ministers who could be on an advisory council to help give valuable inputs into our movement.
