HIM North America Annual Conference

VIBRANT was the theme for our North America Annual Conference 2012. This year we explored key factors that influence the health of churches. Our regional conference was held at Camp Berachah, Seattle, USA on July 5 – 8. There was a total of 127 people from Calgary, Montreal, Vancouver, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Tampa and even 1 person from Singapore.
It was a privilege to have four guest speakers in Dr Wilson and Pastor Lai Ling Lim from HIM, Prophet John Jacks from Present Truth Ministries and Dr Bryan Johnson from Seattle Bible College. Our own regional leaders, Pastor Ben and Pastor Dinah also ministered the Word.
John's wife Monette Jacks, Pastor Linnis and Susan Perry also ministered in prophecy to the conference on our opening night. The Spirit of the Lord was in the midst of us. Thursday got us off to a flying start.

Our first-ever forum on Friday afternoon was very well received. We could experience the power of God in action on the second night. Many were delivered and healed on Friday night. Two persons committed their lives to Christ. The following day was Saturday. Four persons got water baptised. One of them had just given her life to Christ the night before.
This year's conference brought all of us together. As Pastor Ben said on our closing session, this gathering is our "annual family reunion". And our family connected well this year. We had such fun together during sports, games and at Zumba time at 7:30 am. It was such a great time to reconnect, recharge and renew our commitment to God and one another.
Overall, we learnt how to unlock a healthy environment so the church can be VIBRANT. We went home eager to bring forth the Spirit of God to shine through our lives, into our local church and brighten our community. Thank God for His faithfulness over this year's holy convocation.
We are now looking forward to gather together next year on July 4-7, 2013 at Camp Berachah, Seattle. The focus will be BREAKTHROUGH, specifically on spiritual warfare. It’s too good that everyone wants to come back to the same place again next year. [Click to view photos]

At the end of April, Hope Auckland returned to Carey Park with high expectations of what God would do (and what our cheeky camp commanders would get up to!) And deliver, He did. Ps Peter and Vera Hira from Christchurch Worship Centre are a fiery couple who have lived a life completely intimate with the Holy Spirit.
Through their ministry, more than $1 million of miraculously donated goods were given to families affected by the Christchurch earthquakes. Now in their 60s, their stories documenting the move of God through salvation, miracles, and signs and wonders in our beautiful country have us even more sure that revival is approaching our shores.
Crazy games, wilderness survival workshops and frozen people sleeping under the stars aside, the highlight of this camp was the His thick, tangible presence. Healings, totally fresh revelation of what God's saying in the Bible, life-defining breakthroughs, baptisms of the Holy Spirit, encounters with God, prophecy... all of this, every session, every day at camp. The atmosphere was electric. We also saw people saved. He showed up and the result is a group of fiery people closer to Him and more aware of what He is doing than ever before. Bring on revival, we say!

On July 29, Hope Manila held their annual Member’s Night in accordance to the theme of the whole church, “New Wineskin 2012”. All the members, both old and new, were dressed in their designated costumes (Egyptians, Babylonians, Romans, Greeks, and Israelites) and were present in the spirit of unity and fellowship as one church.
It was filled with many activities and games which the members truly enjoyed. This included giving some members a make-over by their respective units, staying true to the theme “New Wineskin”, and games requiring teamwork and agility, an additional challenge given their costumes!
24 new members made a full and formal commitment to be part of Hope Philippines. This was followed by the taking of the oath to love and build up one another as one family and of the Holy Communion. The spirit of oneness and fellowship was further strengthened when they were given a chance to approach and express their love to the members of the family of God.
Soon after, there was dinner fellowship where they were able to bond with the other members over a very enjoyable meal and the Performing Arts Ministry also presented wonderful dance performance, giving glory to the Lord. At the end of the night, awards were given to the most outstanding costumes among all those who put in much effort to replicate the traditional outfits of their specified theme.
It was a wonderful and eventful night with the purpose of not only welcoming new members and having fun and games, but also to emphasize that we are one family, one body, with Christ as the Head, and we must be united not only in mind and heart, but also in the Spirit. May each one of us continue to grow and build up one another in love and most importantly, in Christ. Written by: Sharee Bernardo, Campus Ministry
