Christian Education Strategic Priority
As the champion of the Christian Education Strategic Priority, I am responsible for overseeing the development of 4 initiatives, within the over-arching strategic push to develop educational tools and systems that supports our missional emphasis. Each of these 4 initiatives targets different levels of key needs amongst our churches.

Effective Discipleship Roadmap
The first initiative is to develop an effective discipleship roadmap. A generic curriculum of lessons that will aid the first 5 years of a new believer’s personal and spiritual development. This roadmap is foundational to the consistent development of biblical Christ-centred disciples across all our churches. The compilation of all these lessons and the identification of specific outcomes will make task of nurturing disciples more targeted and effective. Our intention is that before 2015, we will have completed this task and provided our churches with the generic curriculum together with tools to effectively implement it within local churches.

Short Ministry Courses
The second initiative is to develop short ministry courses in 3 key areas to meet key training needs within local churches. These were identified to be in the areas of counselling, worship and children ministries. It is intended that these courses will begin to roll out from 2013 onwards to 2015.

Church Planters Course
The third initiative in to develop a short training course for church planters. Church planting is a core business of our movement and hence it is critical to provide a practical equipping course that captures our values and philosophy. Our heart is to empower greater numbers of leaders to be effective church planters around the world. Our intentional is to complete this course around 2013.

Theological Scholars
The last initiative is to develop a small team of theological scholars that will assist our movement to consider important theological issues. As a movement we value the importance of carefully considered biblical stances on various issues. This team will produce position papers and assist in development of our Global Conferences material. This initiative will be on-going and will continue beyond 2015.
In all, the various priorities of the CATALYSE global masterplan makes a crucial contribution to the overall objective of our movement to fulfil the Great Commission. Such developments always involve considerable amounts of work and our teams are investing significantly in each initiative to progress it. Do pray for us for wisdom so that we are able to produce courses and materials that aid the growth of believers, ministry leaders and church planters.
