Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
Greetings HIM family! It is wonderful once again to be able to communicate with you. First of all, let me say “Merry Christmas”. May God give you a wonderful and blessed end-of-year and Happy New Year for 2011 as well. Brothers and sisters, it has been a very eventful year again. We have seen God do wonderful things. God has been good to us. Our churches around the world are growing; our people have been favoured by the Lord. And we will continue to see God do wonderful things.
Fellowship with natural & spiritual families
I would like to ask us all to take this Christmas and New Year period as a time to gather our families together; both our natural and spiritual families.
It is a good time to spend time; to just slow down and just think about how this entire year has been. Also, it is a time to think about what Christmas represents to all of us and think about how good God has been to each one of us. I am sure there are many wonderful and thankful things we can think about during this time. God has been good to us through the whole year in many ways that he has been with us.
I really believe that God will continue to favour us in the year to come and in the years as we build the church. Therefore, I want to encourage you to take this season to still your heart; just celebrate with the family and our congregation, and be able to really feel that bonding and family spirit among us.
Our heartfelt Appreciation
Lai Eng and I would like to convey our heartfelt appreciation to all of you. You have prayed for us, and you have stayed together with us as HIM family.
Together, we believed for more and God has indeed given us more. I really want to thank of all you for your prayers, life sacrifices and the great effort in building God’s church and to be able to see God’s people growing in his grace. Brothers and sisters, leaders, pastors, you have been a wonderful family. You have been people who have dedicated themselves to the Word of God. We are really thankful to being together with you as partners of the HIM family.
Him Global Prayer 2011
For January 2011, I have sent out a prayer circular. We have listed out four weeks in January to be dedicated as a month of prayer and fasting; we did this in January, 2010 as well. I want to do this and I want to mobilise all of us to spend January to dedicate ourselves to the Lord; to dedicate our movement to the Lord and to bring our vision and our mission to the Lord.
Brothers and sisters, I call for prayer and fasting because it has been well proven that fasting and prayer sets our hearts and our lives to touch what God desires to do in our world today. Prayer and fasting will make us more effective in being able to serve God, in being able to give our hearts to focus on what God wants to do for 2011. You will be receiving the circular, so I really want to focus us for 2011 to be able to really see God bless our movement. I will share more at the end of January on what are some of our direction for 2011 and further on from there.
Global Conference in Chiang Mai (18th-21st, Jan 2011)
Brothers and sisters, may God be with you to give you a wonderful holiday break. May God continue to direct and guide each one of us as we celebrate in our local churches, national churches and as HIM family globally. I really believe that God has exciting things for us in the coming year. God has exciting things that he wants our family to continue to expand. We will see each other at our Global Conference in January at Chiang Mai, Thailand, in January. Get the dates from your pastors and we hope to see as many of you as possible. We are having a special guest speaker; Pastor Bill Wilson will be addressing the theme of “Passion”. I believe the Lord will be able to do great and wonderful things in our midst.
