HIM CHURCH GROWTH DEPARTMENT - PS JEFF CHONG
Hello. Greetings from Melbourne! My name is Jeff and I am at the Global Conference. I would like to review and share with you about the progress of our church growth. As we looked at the HIM movement, we discovered that over 90% of our churches have below 100 people attendance. So we focused on two particular churches to help them to surpass the 100 people mark.
One of them was the church in Ealing and the other was the church in Auckland. I want to share the good news: these churches have been progressing and they are nearing the 100-mark. In fact, both these churches have broken 100 people at some of their special services. After these special services, they have seen an increase of more than 15 people. So I really believe in my heart that the 100-mark is coming very soon. We want to see more people coming into the Kingdom because people really matter to God.

The next thing I want to share with you about church growth is that we have been running Exposure training in Hope Singapore. At this training, we basically allow people to just come to Hope Singapore and ask anything about church; ranging from finances, event management, the different kinds of church services, and different language groups. Ten people came for the conference and I want you to know that in 2011, we will be running a similar conference for the people in our movement. Watch out for it and I really hope to see you at Hope Singapore and get the exposure which will help build your church.

On the whole, our service attendance throughout the entire movement, since Pastor Simon took over the leadership, has grown from 10,000 to 17,000 people.
This is a growth of 70% up to today, which is quite significant. Why? It is because healthy churches are growing churches. A healthy person will grow; a healthy church will also grow. So people, let us do church together. Let us do life together. Let us do it with the power and the presence and the grace of Christ in us. It is not about us growing the church; it is about Jesus growing the church through us. The Bible is very explicit about this; Jesus said, “I will build my church.” It is not us building the church. He builds His church and we just come alongside Him, partnering with the Holy Spirit, and have a wonderful ride with Him.

Praise God, I had a wonderful time in the camp at London with our brothers and sisters from Hope Ealing and Hope Leeds. I was the speaker and the theme was about being refreshed in God and about soaring like an eagle. I had a wonderful, wonderful time with the people there. They were really so loving and warm. They have this great passion and desire for God. I have never felt more loved by the people from England. I really had a good time. So I want to thank them all for showing me around London and showing love and doing life together with me. And I really believe with all my heart that things are moving on in England.
