SCHOOL OF WORSHIP (SOW) IN HAT YAI THAILAND
School of Worship (SOW) was birthed out of our heart’s desire to carry God’s presence to nations. We seek to work with local churches to train and equip worship, arts and media ministers, and to help strengthen these ministries. Our prayer is that, in turn, they can make a greater impact in and through their local churches. It is also our passion to see these ministers raised as mentors and released to their fullest potential to make disciples and to advance God’s Kingdom!
In January 2020, Pastor Torch and Lisa, together with a team, brought the School Of Worship (SOW) to Hat Yai, Thailand. The event was hosted by the HIM Hat Yai Worship Arts Media (WAM) team at their church. The SOW training team included worship, arts and media ministry leaders and ministers as well as the past SOW graduates from several churches in Australia, Malaysia and Thailand. The heart of SOW is to train and equip worshippers so that they can be released to further their gifting and service in the worship, arts and media ministries in their local churches and beyond.
Over 100 participants attended SOW in Hat Yai, representing a number of churches from the South of Thailand! SOW comprised teaching sessions to lay the biblical understanding of worship, and a range of practical “hands on” masterclasses for worship and media ministers, including vocals and worship leading, musicians, audio-visuals-lighting and media. Participants at SOW ranged from 11 years old (the youngest drummer) all the way through to those in their 60s! There was such a great hunger to learn and for the Presence of God! There were countless testimonies of people encountering God’s mighty Presence, receiving physical and emotional healing, personal victories and spiritual breakthroughs over the few days at SOW2020.
Among those testimonies, a lady with a deaf ear received prayers and the Lord opened her deaf ear. Another couple who had been trying to have a baby for a long time encountered God and the wife fell pregnant within 2 weeks after the week of SOW. Many also received the baptism of the Holy Spirit (some had actually been waiting for the Promise for a long time). Since SOW, many also experienced spiritual breakthroughs in their walks with the Lord and testified that they had begun to move in the prophetic, receive dreams and visions from the Lord as well as begin to prophecise. We look forward to our upcoming School Of Worship ONLINE which will offer a new dynamic opportunity to gain effective training in worship, arts and media ministry during these unprecedented times. Our heart behind SOW remains the same - To help each participant to grow in their biblical understanding, develop skill, and use worship, arts and media to build their local churches as well as extend God’s Kingdom. All they gain through the SOW ONLINE will set them up for effective, Spirit-led worship, arts and media ministry in their local church and the nations!
