HOPE MANILA ANNUAL SEMINAR
In keeping with the spirit of continued growth in our walk with God, Hope Philippines held its Annual Seminar aptly called Crossover Season 3. Our Regional Pastor, Ps. James Loke joined us as our guest speaker so that we may learn more about what it means to continue to crossover.
Brothers and sisters from our various daughter churches gathered in San Juan, Metro Manila, altogether as one church, to learn more about what it means to crossover from where we used to be to where God wants us to be.
Ps. James Loke, together with our Senior Pastor and his wife, Ps. Soradej and Dr. Eunice Meesaengtham, shared various lessons about how we can continue to crossover in our journey with the Lord.
Using the story of Joshua, they talked about how essential it is to be able to crossover by meditating, studying, and living out the Word of God. We are also to crossover with courage that is founded on the Lord’s promises, His presence, as well as the support of the people He placed around us and to crossover in holiness that is trained and tested in us. We must also know that a crossover can only be truly a crossover if we are led there by the Lord. Only when we follow Him closely would we be able to crossover with His abiding presence with us.
We must learn to set the right foundations, as was demonstrated by Joshua when they observed the Passover before they moved forward, learn to have faith in God and His promises as we crossover, and to do so with the right attitude of readiness, obedience, and faithfulness.
And finally, we must steadily grow and serve God so He could instil in us the right perspective and skills needed to be able to lead others.
We were blessed to have learned much during this short period of time not only about crossing over and nurturing our spiritual health, but our physical health as well through a Health Talk given by Dr. Eunice.
It may have been a short time but it was an eventful three days filled with much learning and encountering God in a way unlike any other before. It was truly a fresh experience that helped equip us for the next crossover.
