INDIA SHORT-TERM MISSION TRIP

On 6th January 2018, Brisbane’s India short-term mission team arrived Hyderabad, India. An eye opening, exciting and amazing 5-day-mission had started. During the 5 days, the team ran a small English pioneering service in Shamsabad in Hyderabad, a bilingual service in Hyderabad City. They were sharing and ministering in the children ministry, youth ministry and women ministry after the bilingual service.

The team travelled to Gurazala Cuntur District to run a pastors training together with Ps Ravi. They shared about different aspect of leading life group such as worship, discipleship, friendship evangelism and church health. In the evening, the team split into two groups to travel to Didayah for a crusade. They were worshiping, sharing testimonies and preaching a message about the greatest gift of God.

The next day, another pastors training was held in Addanki Prakasam District. The team was helping out with the feeding program after the pastors training. They also shared the message on the way back in the midnight prayer meeting. The last pastors training was conducted in Shamsabad, Hyderabad. The training ended with a celebration of Ps Ravi and Sister Pamela’s 20th Wedding Anniversary. The local pastors honoured and blessed Ps Ravi and his wife with garlands and cake.

Although this 5 days mission trip was short, it was a life-changing experience for the team. They were greatly encouraged by the local pastors who came with the desire to learn and be equipped to extend the kingdom of God. They were blessed by the hospitality from the local pastors and their families with home-cooked Indian food. By the grace of God, 36 people gave their lives to Jesus. They were so grateful to have the opportunity to partner with Ps Ravi and the local pastors throughout this mission trip. The team took away more than just experience but also a glimpse of God’s heart for this nation and His kingdom.
