HOPE KL CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION

On 20-Feb-2016, Hope Kuala Lumpur Mandarin Church celebrated the Chinese Lunar New Year reunion dinner with the theme "Blessed Years 幸福年年". We had about 250 people attending this annual event in a grand event hall. 



The evening started with a buzzing praise & worship with added flavour of Chinese New Year songs. Shortly after, we kicked off dinner with the first course of "Yusheng鱼生" (tossed salad) whereby everyone at the table shouted words of blessing as they tossed the salad together.



Table games and Chinese Calligraphy followed thereafter with great excitement and laughter. During the progression of the dinner dishes, there was delightful Christian songs presentation. It was followed by a blessed Bible message sharing by Pastor Simon which reminded all the guests that true blessings come from knowing and obeying the only true God.



The night ended with a prayer of blessing for the elderly people above 60 years-old, and more than 40 younger children receiving "ang pao红包" (red packet) with smiling faces. It was truly a memorable and joyful event.
