We are grateful to the Lord for the training prepared and given by Pastor Andrew. We had two visits from our Pastor Andrew. In his first visit in late October, we learned the first part of "How to Multiply Disciples and Communities". We were reminded of the importance of the Great Commission. It was in the very heart of God. It was the very reason another Christian brother or sister reached out to us before, the very reason why the church was birthed and continues to exist. Therefore, we must be challenged and must challenge ourselves to obey and move as a church to multiply disciples and communities.

The church leaders who received the training were then taught about the quality of disciples. We want to make born-again and reproducing disciples. The training session was pleasant and unforgettable because all of us together, after the training, made a commitment to mutliply ourselves. We were prayed for and commissioned, with even some of us breaking out in tongues for the first time. At the prayer time, many of us felt the obstacle to the challenge but believe in the Word of our beloved Lord Jesus Christ that says

Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand" and

"I can do all this through him who gives me strength" in Phillipians 4:13.

In our church, some brothers have gone through severe problems but we trust that God holds us with his righteous right hand and He will not let us down. Nothing will stop us from achieving our goal as Hope Peru desires with all her heart to grow in the Lord and experience more of Him.

In December, we continue with the training for disciplers and community planters. We had several lessons that will help us reach more people (atheists, agnostics and God-fearing people) who do not yet know or have yet to receive the Lord Jesus Christ in their hearts. We were taught how to share the Gospel in a simple, pure, clear and relevant way. In so doing, we know that God’s power will be displayed through our sharing. Finally, we learned the process of discipling someone or a group of believers from new born-again believers to becoming a reproducing disciple or reproducing disiples, with relevant and useful resources.

On the Sunday of his December visit, Pastor Andrew cast the vision of a multiplying church following the example and the anointing of the first Jerusalem church, our mother church and daughter church. It was timely, because Hope Peru was breaking fast on that Sunday after four Sundays of fasting and praying for lost souls, the neighbourhood around the church and the city of Lima. We saw a first-time visit from a brother’s family living in Lima (the brother is a recent convert). There were 10 members from his family visiting our church that day. We were elated because we felt that that was the Lord’s harvest brought to our church. With a super joyful atmosphere, the whole church broke fast together feasting on Peruvian cuisine lovingly prepared by the women.

Thanks to Pastor Andrew and his family for the wonderful time we shared that will be kept in our hearts. All Hope Peru family wishes everyone Happy New Year and we believe that 2016 will be a year of Mulitiplication – multiply disciples, communities and cities. A big hug to all brothers and sisters from HIM! God bless and don’t forget that we can do all things through Christ who strengthen us. Amen.
