HOPE QUITO IN ECUADOR: PASTOR JEFF'S VISITATION

After flying for almost 30 hours, Pastor Jeff arrived in the continent of South America on 14th March 2015. His first stop was Quito, Ecuador. Glad to see familiar faces after such a long trip, Pastor Jeff checked into the hotel quickly and we (Pastor Jeff, Andrew, Ruth, baby Sam as well as Timothy and Phoebe) fellowshipped over dinner to catch up on the happenings in Ecuador and South America. 



The next day, on Sunday morning, Pastor Jeff preached in Hope Quito, Ecuador about the favour of the Lord upon Hope Singapore and all our daughter churches. The Ecuadorian church received the message with hearts of faith and expectation to see the goodness of the Lord in South America as we transit into new leadership in the coming year. Pastor Jeff prayed for the members, the marriages, parents and working adults to receive the favour of God in their lives and roles. After the message, he anointed Andrew and his family to oversee the churches in South America, and prayed for Timothy and Phoebe for their future endeavours in Christ. Together, the leaders anointed Claudia with oil and prayed for the Holy Spirit’s wisdom, grace and anointing to be upon her as the new pastor of Hope Quito, Ecuador. We also prayed for the team of leaders supporting Claudia and the church as well as the members who desired to commit to serve God and extend His kingdom.



On Monday night, Pastor Jeff met with the Hope Ecuador leadership team for a time of hearing from the Holy Spirit through worship. He also encouraged and challenged the team to serve in unity and dependence on the Holy Spirit, believing in God’s power, anointing and miraculous works. The team presented Pastor Jeff with an appreciation gift to thank him for his impartation of faith and covering over Hope South America, and prayed for Pastor Jeff and Andrew’s coming trips to Chile and Peru.
