HOPE SEATTLE CHRISTMAS EVENTS 2014

Christmas Celebrations on Sunday

We started the Christmas celebrations on Sunday, December 21, 2014. The theme of this year is “Why Christmas?” There were a number of new people who joined us on Sunday. The atmosphere was full of fun thanks to the Christmas costume contest. There was Mary, Joseph, Wise-man and many more. The children’s performance was the highlight of our program as the kids danced to the song “It’s about the Cross”. The song tells the whole meaning of Christmas. We praise God for His Spirit of love and hope that lifted up people during that Sunday.

Christmas Eve Party

On Christmas Eve we had a party at the church premises. It was the time to gather as a family. We had dinner together, played games, had gift exchange and sang Carols. That evening we had a Christmas Food Competition and the feedback was: fun and yummy. Afterwards we went to one of our sister’s house to sing carols and warm her house with God’s blessing despite the cold weather.

Christmas Day Party

We had another party on Christmas day. Our member who is a Thai restaurant owner desired to hold an evangelistic event to share God’s love. She hosted the event at her restaurant and cooked a lot of food. She also prepared many presents for the blessing draw for the patty. There were about 70 people who came. Our church ran the program with games, Christmas songs and a personal testimony about Christ. Many were touched and hearts opened to hear the Gospel.

We praise God for the series of events during Christmas. We did our very best to seize every opportunity to bring God’s love to as many people as possible.
