HOPE MANILA CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

December is one of the most anticipated and eagerly awaited times of the year. For students, it is because of the long vacation and break from school works and exams. For working adults, it is because of the 13th month pay, Christmas bonus and non-working holidays. For many, it is the last month of the year and a time to look forward to another year. These are just common reasons for the people of God to anticipate this particular month. However, most importantly, this is a time to celebrate the wonderful gift of God to men -Jesus! 

On December 21, Hope Philippines celebrated Christmas with the theme “Jesus Christ Revealed”. Many brought their friends and families to join the celebration. A 45-minutes praise and worship session, adoring and exalting Jesus fired up the service. People were also blessed with the powerful preaching of Brother Alvin Toh from Ambassador of Christ, citing the very famous yet very meaningful John 3:16. Together with his wife, they blessed us with their very lives, willing to serve the Lord in a foreign land. Heaven was also rejoicing with us as many came to know and receive Jesus in their hearts. Everyone had their stomachs filled with a feasting galore and had a heart-warming time of gift exchange.

Prior to the Christmas Sunday celebration, many life groups took the opportunity of the Christmas season to extend and reveal the love of Christ to many. They visited new converts and their families. They blessed houses by singing Christmas carols and giving them simple gifts. Some also visited hospitals to sing songs, bring joy, smiles and of course, the gospel.



Christmas season is truly a wonderful time to reveal Jesus Himself and His love for everyone.
