PASTOR PRAKICH SHARING IN HOPE TOKYO, JAPAN

I visited Hope Tokyo on 19 October 2014. Before the Sunday service, I had a chance to fellowship with the church leadership and shared with them about some of the key factors of church growth. One of the points that I highlighted was contextualisation. Church growth principles are universal but we will only see the fruit when these principles are applied contextually.

During the worship time in the church service, I saw a picture of a light bulb that was turned on. I approached the chairperson and asked him to give me a cue to deliver the prophetic message. After he had checked with the worship leader, I was told that one more song was to be sung and that would be followed by the prophetic words. I had no idea what song would be sung next. But as it commenced, I was stunned. We sang “Light of the world, You stepped down into darkness…” I knew right away that the picture I had seen and the message I had received was truly for the church.

I was so encouraged by the spirit of Hope Tokyo and genuinely believe that the Lord is going to use the church to be salt and light not just in Tokyo, but the entire nation of Japan.
