HOPE SINGAPORE ACTS CONFERENCE 2014
The book of Acts shows the best example of Supernatural Pioneering, the theme for Hope Church Singapore’s Conference in the year 2014 which was held in the Singapore Indoor Stadium from 24 May to 25 May 2014.
Day One of the conference kicked off with an opening sermon of the conference by Senior Pastor Jeffrey Chong, reminding us that God was the Original Pioneer who created the Universe and who did so for our benefit, making reference to the early church, which started out from only a few disciples to being the modern churchand a church that pioneers.

Evangelist Daniel Kolenda, president and CEO of the Christ for All Nations ministry was then introduced for the second session. He spoke powerfully about the miracles that God had demonstrated through his crusades in Africa. His experiences and faith left many awe-struck but challenged to follow in his footsteps and allow God to work through them.
He answered the questions that most Christians face: what is God’s will for their life? Relating the struggles of Queen Esther, he explained the attitude that all believers should have when faced with a call to serve God in any situation we are placed in, knowing that it was God who placed us there in the first place.

Day Two built on the spiritual excitement of the first day as Reverend Dr Rick Seaward, founding pastor of the Victory Family Centre church in Singapore, began the day’s activities by charging the church to trust that miracles were not reserved for the clergy but for the body of Christ as a whole. Reverend Rick gave an altar call after this which saw many step forward to accept God’s call to do the impossible.
This empowering sermon set the tone for the evangelistic healing rally as hundreds of people showed up, believers and non-believers, to await a healing touch from God. Evangelist Daniel Kolenda spoke about the need for faith and to remove unbelief from their hearts before the actual healing could take place. Believers prayed for one another individually and hundreds were healed from all manner of ailments, ranging from back pains to even colon cancer! It was indeed a time of the demonstration of the power of the Holy Spirit and inspired many believers that day to take this experience and let it continue in their daily life.

The night session, the last for the day, was rounded up by a special treat as Dr Benny Prasad, inventor of the Bentar (guitar with built-in bongo drums) came to share his testimony about how God changed his life and enabled him to accomplish these amazing feats in spite of his weaknesses. Pastor Simon Eng, President of the Hope International Ministries, preached the final sermon of the conference with an analysis of the term ‘kairos’, leading up to the Kairos Night which brought the whole conference to a resounding end, with praise and worship filling the Singapore Indoor Stadium one last time.
ACTS Conference 2014 was definitely a time when believers experienced the move of the Holy Spirit as the disciples in the Upper Room did. But more than that, it was also a call to arms for everyone to be the hands and feet of God, to perform miracles and trust that He would work through His church to bring the lost back to Him.
