HOPE GERMANY FESTIVAL TESTIMONY - KAJIN TEOH

Hi, I’m Kajin from Hope Germany. I’m very glad to be here at the Global Conference in Brisbane. I just want to share with you what’s happening in my life, in our lives in Germany and also around the whole region.
Call upon His power
Just about two months ago, we had a Festival, which is like a national camp. There were lots and lots of amazing things happening. Well, to take you back a little on the journey, we started around 18 months ago. We felt like God was moving among the leadership team of Hope Germany. We oversee house churches not only in Germany, but also in France, Czech Republic, Poland and the surrounding countries. God was really prompting us and pointing out to us to say, “What you have achieved is good so far, but good is not good enough.” We felt like God saying, “There is the power that I want you to have, and therefore, you need to change.” So as a leadership team, we felt that God spoke and we needed to respond.
Believing in Signs, Wonders and Miracles
So, we started to take the first step of repentance: not acknowledging that God can also work and function in His power. We started to repent from not believing in signs and wonders and miracles. We started the process of repentance from the top leadership team down to regional leadership team and also house church leadership teams.
24/7 Prayer Chain at Festival
In the process of preparation for our Festival, we covered it with a lot of prayer and intercession. We dedicated weekends where we travelled to the place where we will be having the Festival to intercede and worship God. Throughout the whole Festival, we had 24/7 prayer and we had people worshipping over the place. The result was just tremendous. As we were evaluating the whole Festival, we just felt that this has been by far the most relaxing Festival we ever had because we were so secure knowing that God is in this project.
Moving of the Holy Spirit
You know in the past, I don’t know how is it like with you guys, but it happens so often that we make plans and making plans is great. You know Germans, we love planning. We make great plans, structured plans and very often our approach is planning and then we say, “God, this is our plan. Please take it and please bless it.” So, we learned that God wanted us to do it the other way round, and say “God, tell us, reveal to us what your plans are and build upon this prophetic words and word of knowledge, word of wisdom and to see what God wants for His Festival, what God wants for His movement.” So the result was tremendous as I mentioned before. We saw healings, we saw the infilling of the Holy Spirit. You know in Germany, people are often very nervous and concerned when it comes to certain kind of doctrines about the Holy Spirit like being slain in the Holy Spirit. People get all real stiff about it.
A spontaneous worship
In this Festival, we realised that God really worked in a way that is very gentle and very intimate. There were many testimonies that we hear from people about how gentle God is. You know when we talk about being filled with the Holy Spirit, the picture we have in the German minds is that some big prominent figure comes on stage and just whoosh – everyone collapse in the Spirit. It didn’t happen that way. The Holy Spirit was so gentle. People were filled with the Spirit, they just felt that they need to lie down to just enjoy God’s presence and just to let God do his work and the Holy Spirit was so gentle. It was amazing. At one evening after the worship, a spontaneous worship happened at the side of the stage. There were no musical instruments except some percussion and there were easily 100-150 people worshipping God acapella. It was not just 10, 20, 30 minutes but over an hour long. They were just worshipping and worshipping and worshipping and there was such a freedom that I’ve never seen before.
One lady came up to me that evening and said, “Kajin, tell me what to do. I prayed for someone and this person just collapsed. I don’t know, what did I do wrong?” I said, “Don’t worry, you did everything right. The Holy Spirit is doing His work.” So all the dancing was going around and after an hour, she came back to me, “Kajin, this woman is still lying down there. What do I do?” I said, “Don’t worry, this is the Holy Spirit. Just trust God.” It was so encouraging to see many things happening here and there all over the weekend, all over the place; during our Festival.
Pray for healing
For me, my personal highlight was my own personal stepping out in faith. On one of the evenings when I was preaching, I felt the prompting of God say, “Kajin, tonight we’re going to pray for healing. Call out people for healing.” At that very moment I felt like, “Okay, should I do it, should I not? My reputation is at stake. What if I call out for healing and no one responds?” So I just kept on preaching and God spoke again, “Pray for healing.” There was a time when it was ministering time. So, you know, sometimes as a preacher, you can relax and let the worship team do their thing and music is just going on. I felt God say, “Call people, people who needs healing,” and God added another word, “And say not any kind of healing but healing of the bones.” I said, “God why? This is so risky. It’s my reputation at stake.” It was like the rushing waves, it just keeps on coming. “Pray for healing, healings of the bone, call for healing, healings of the bone.” I gave in, I said, “God, I’m just going to be obedient and I’m just going to call for healing.”

So I did it, waiting in anxiety and anticipation. There were people responding, easily 10-15 people stood up everywhere around the hall. I think that evening, we had around 800-900 people in the hall and I felt like this is not the night where Kajin prays and he’s the superstar. I felt God saying, “Tell people around these people who responded who need healing to lay hands and pray for them where they are standing.” So they did and that evening, there were healing of the backbone, knee, wrist and all kinds of healing. It was really amazing. I was really encouraged. I just want to encourage you that if you are obedient to God, He will lead you, guide you and explain to you things you never understood and you will experience God’s glory. Thank you.
