HIM THAILAND ANNUAL NATIONAL CAMP

HIM Thailand held its annual National Camp on 2-5 May in Chiang Mai. This year 1,500 adults registered for the camp with another 200 children, who had their own program. With 1,500 enthusiastic believers, there was an incredible atmosphere of praise and worship. The worship teams from various local churches may have differing styles but each team brought the people wonderfully into the presence of God. 

The theme for the camp was “Harvest” and the message was delivered powerfully by our HIM President Ps Simon Eng, Ps James Loke, Ps Chuchart Chaisombat, Ps Chaiyapreuk Pewreungnon, and Ps Tammarak Tiengtham. Dr Yutthasak, a reputed Christian minister in Thailand, was the other guest speaker.

The camp started off with an opening ceremony depicting the life of Adoniram Judson, the US missionary to Burma. The props were simple but effective and the actors and actresses carried across the message with great impact on how a committed life for Christ could bring a big harvest of souls nationally.

Camp participants had 50 workshops to choose from, to learn various new skills and understand how to live and serve as a Christian. There was also a fun-filled program of discovering new talents in HIM Thailand.

The camp was a wonderful time where old ties were renewed and new ties were forged. Participants had good fellowship time to enjoy the sights of Chiang Mai as well as taste the unique northern Thai cuisine.
