CATALYSE: OUR CULTURAL ATTRIBUTES (PART 1 OF 4)
For this month of January, we will present a four-part series about our cultural attributes. This series is develop by our Church Culture initiative team from our 5-year Master Plan, CATALYSE. The team has documented our cultural attributes (or commonly known as Hope spirit) as a movement. In business, we refer to this as organisational or corporate culture.
It comes with a how-to guide on communicating and imparting each of the 10 attributes to your church or group. We have identified the essence of Hope spirit according to our Core Values as follows:-
Vision Driven
Purposeful, being a mission enterprise, having a sense of ownership and urgency to fulfill vision
Church Planting
Embracing a pioneering spirit, church multiplication, thinking globally and acting locally
Covenant
Communion with Christ and with one another, strength in unity, working through conflict
Enriching Community
Being the body of Christ, friends connected with interlocking bonds, doing life and death together
Leadership Developer
Raising servant-leaders, intentional growing of new leaders, coaching emerging leaders
Christ Centred
Kingdom mentality in making choices and evaluating our motives, conforming to His image
Bible Based
Letting the Bible govern us, speaking the Word into each other’s lives, taking the message into our world.
Holy Spirit Empowered
Having our whole being filled, controlled by and walking in the Spirit, enabled to be who we are created to be
Disciple-making
Wholistic mentoring, being accountable, investing heart and time
Apostolic Oriented
Living as a sent people, establishing foundations, initiating breakthroughs
