HIM BANGALORE CAMP, INDIA
There were 43 adults and 7 children attended Hope Bangalore’s 6th Annual Camp from 7-10 September 2013. The theme was “A Sacrificial Church”. We are very grateful to Hope Batu Pahat, Hope Kluang and Hope Johor Bahru for their support at the Camp; from chairing to worship leading. Camp started with breakfast on the first day and ended with dinner on the final day. Interesting events included a campfire on the first night, trekking to a hilltop on the third day and visiting a historic castle on Nandi Hill on the final day.
Pastor Kwong Lie taught us lessons of “A Sacrificial Church” in such a simple yet profound way. Group meetings held in the afternoons were helpful to discuss the points taught in the teaching sessions.
This year, we were blessed with four sisters and three brothers joining our camp for the first time. On the final day, they testified how camp has really blessed them. We could also see how God provided for brothers and sisters with financial constraints register for camp as they trusted God.
With the understanding of sacrifice in building God’s Church that came through the teachings, it is our desire to see God’s Kingdom descend on India in a real way.
After the camp, we had brothers and sisters who showed real sacrifice. Some travel 25km just to come to church, others rejected jobs in other cities to stay in Bangalore, others committing themselves to be trained in this vision. God is awesome!
