North America Annual Conference: BREAKTHROUGH
The spiritual atmosphere echoed the conference theme, BREAKTHROUGH during our 2013 North America Annual Conference. Our annual conference was held at Camp Berachah, in Auburn within the beautiful state of Washington, USA from July 4 – 7. There were a total of 109 people that attended the conference; they came from Montreal, Vancouver, Albuquerque, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Tampa, Seattle, Brisbane and Singapore.

The attendees were blessed by the encouraging messages of breakthrough by Dr. Wilson and the prophecies of Pastor Lai Ling from HIM Brisbane. Our guest speakers included Dr. Dan Hammer from Sonrise Christian Center. Dr. Linnis and Susan Perry also ministered in prophecy to the conference attendees. Our very own Pastors Ben and Dinah also shared their encouraging insight on spiritual warfare.
The conference started out remarkably with the opening ceremony, which was orchestrated by HIM Seattle team. Through the Spirit-filled worship sessions led by teams from Los Angeles, Seattle, Vancouver, and a guest appearance from Torch Leung from HIM Brisbane. It was evident that the presence of God permeated the halls of Berachah.

July 4th marks the celebration of the birth of a new nation (USA). New beginning was a recurring reminder throughout this camp. Many attendees experienced deep personal breakthroughs from past bondages and found a renewed strength from Christ. I felt a stronger sense of unity amongst our NA churches.
We at North America are excited to witness God’s blessing and power at 2013 BREAKTHROUGH.
We are looking forward to 2014’s conference and the theme will be HARVEST - with a focus on outreach. We will gather once again in Seattle, WA at Camp Berachah on July 3rd – 6th 2014. Hope to see you there!

HIM Manila - Father's Day Celebration

To celebrate three years, we had a simple yet ambitious plan to portray the Book of Acts in a mini-production. It seemed to be the best reflection of our expanding church. The 30-minute production composed of seven songs, six of which were performed live with the band, singers and choir. The main performers were from our Dance and Mime & Drama Ministries. How we did it was the most challenging and exciting things we have ever done.
By God's grace, and with the help of a pastor, a friend and also a professional choreographer, we were able to pull it off. With only ten days to prepare, everybody had their own challenges to overcome: hectic schedules, lack of theatrical experience, sickness and loss of voice, and difficult songs. Despite these obstacles, our faith remained intact, and God indeed showed Himself mighty.
The mini-production started with the Via Dolorosa song, He’s Alive, Healer, People Need the Lord, Upon this Rock and To the King as the final song and declaration. An impromptu and lively praise celebration followed with the banners, dancers, singers and tambourine players declared God’s victory.

Guests were blessed by the production, not only because of the quality of the performances, but also of the challenge to go beyond our boundaries for the sake of the gospel. Yes, all too often we take the Great Commission for granted, but we were reminded by the Book of Acts how much the Early Church went beyond themselves to let God's power be actively at work in their lives, for the purpose of sharing the good news to all the world.
Knowing our capabilities, we were aware that we never could have done anything of this caliber. We can only testify that it was God who enabled us, and we are just His vessels. We've just begun our fourth year, and God has again been making new things in us as individuals and as a church. May we all continually partner with God to see God's vision fulfilled in HIM churches in the years to come!

HIM Manila - Father's Day Celebration
“Everything was done, so you would come.” God has planned every situation in our life so that we will know Jesus. One of the ways to achieve that purpose is the Family. In His mind, the family is the basic unit of society. The lyric in that simple song reminds us how both our Father in Heaven and our biological father treasures us, reminds us how precious we are in their sight, and how loved we are. Every small concern, every detail, He knows and he desires to protect us, and more importantly, have that intimate relationship with Him. Isn’t that so much to be grateful for?
And that is the joyous reason Hope Manila is celebrating Father’s Day on 16 June 2013. The fact that our fathers are willing to do everything and anything for us is worth our thankfulness. How much more thankful are we then for the One who laid down His life for us. A testimony from a father who did all he could for his children moved us to tears. Although we may not share the same feelings about our own father, but we know our Father in Heaven will never fail us.
Our Pastor shared with us about ‘Spiritual Blessings III’. During the message, he shared a story. There was a young man and he really wanted a nice car. His father, instead, gave him a bible. After that, the young man never talked to his father. He really thought his father was selfish. When his dad died, the son found the same Bible, and when he opened it, there was the key to the car, with the words “paid in full”. In the same way, when we look to the cross, our Father has already done the unthinkable, He gave us more than we can ever ask for.
No matter how little we have or we see ourselves to be, with arms wide open, our Father will always be there for us. All we can give is our broken hearts and lives but He will take it all. What will be our response? From the short clip ‘Courageous’ at lunch, “Choose today who you will serve, but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” –Joshua 24:15. The one thing we can give back is the same gift he gave us, ourselves. This is what we are celebrating today, not only that our Father is our hero, but for the privilege to be sons and daughters of the King.

Oasis Church, Bangkok Thailand - 3rd Anniversary
As Oasis turned three on 19 May 2013, God was showing us where He would take us as a church. And because it is He who called us, His plans were beyond our imaginations, beyond our expectations, and beyond our boundaries.
