HIM PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE - PS SIMON ENG
Hi HIM Family,
It's great to be able to communicate with you again.
Personal Evangelism: R.E.A.P
Let me share with you the one thing God has put in my heart since the beginning of this year. We're talking about abundance. As you look at this tree here, it's a tree of fruitfulness. We all know what God wants us to continue to accomplish. God wants us to continue to be abundant and produce fruit. We've been impressed this year to reach out to souls, to evangelize. For the pastors personally, to be able to see people come to the Lord as well. So I've been challenged this year to do what we call "One Reap One" - R.E.A.P.

What does REAP - One Reap One – mean? Let me share with you.
"R" stands for reaching out to a totally new friend. You know as pastors and leaders, after we've spent some years in the church, we are limited in our ability to reach out to a totally new friend. So "R" stands for reaching out; for all of us to be able to reach out and make a new friend.
"E" is to evangelize to this new person, this new friend, and to share with them the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Good News that God has given to each one of us. So not only are we making a friend, but we are reaching out to evangelize to them.
"A" stands for assimilating them to our church activities. It could be life group, it could be other evangelism activities, it could be outings. It could be any aspect of our church activities. It is to assimilate them, to share with them the gospel so they join us in some of our activities.
"P" stands for preparing them to be a disciple of Jesus. So One Reap One is quite exciting.
At the beginning of the year, Lai Eng and I visited somebody in the hospital. He was a contact of a church member's father. He invited us there and so we went there. Lo and behold, he was eager to receive Jesus. Lai Eng and I were quite excited because that person came to the Lord and we prayed asking God, “where are we going to find new people?” But God has opened doors. So I want to encourage you with this: One to reap one. All of us can grow our churches through One Reap One. All of us can intentionally reach out to a new person through One Reap One.
I pray that all our churches globally will be able to apply this personal program. You pray, you ask the Lord to open up opportunities, you ask God to lead you to the right person, you ask God to enable us to really see one soul come through your life this year, one. Reach at least one person personally. Not just from the pulpit, not just from our church program, but through each one of us reaching out to new person, evangelizing and sharing with them the Good News, assimilating them into our activities, and preparing them to be a disciple of Jesus.
This is the tree of abundance, let's believe God that it's not only just leaves, but you will see fruits all over this tree. We want to believe that fruits will come into our evangelism and into our church as well.
May God continue to expand every one of us.
May God continue to favor every one of us. May the power of the Holy Spirit continue to be with us so that we can see throughout this year we will be fruitful and we will see souls come to the Lord.
May God be with you. Until I communicate with you again the next time round in an exciting way, how God is using each one of us to reach souls for His kingdom.
