HIM PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE - PASTOR SIMON ENG

HIM Family, I'd like to communicate my first message for the year with each one of us. I sense in my spirit that God has something very exciting for us this year as well.

I observed during our January Global Conference in Taipei in Taiwan, our family got together, many of our pastors and our leaders got together and I was just observing the atmosphere, I was observing how our people received the teachings of the fivefold ministry and observing the planning and what the pastors are sharing and I'm excited that we're going to see exciting things happen in the year 2013. Church, I want to encourage us that as we continue to plan forward, three areas key to what we want to see in God.

Be obedient to God 

The first is, continue to obey God, obey His Word. As we know, for the Word of God, as we pray, as we receive from God, as God speaks to us from His word and as you hear the voice of God, obey Him, because obedience brings God's favor and success.

Be faithful to our people 

Secondly, I want to encourage us to be faithful to our people. Faithful to mentor them, to spiritually be their helper, faithful to be able to provide that pastoral care, faithful to observe. Jesus says, "I know my sheep. I know how they are." Faithful to really look after pastorally our people's welfare and their spiritual wellbeing as well.

Be prayerful for His anointing 

Thirdly, I want to encourage that we continue to really cry out to God in prayer. Cry out to God because it is God who anoints us, it is God who can stir that inner fire within us. Let me say it again. Be obedient to what God speaks to you. Be faithful to really shepherd and look after our people. And, thirdly, from our inner being, cry out to the Lord, cry out to God to really see how we can expand our people - what God wants to do through each one of us. Cry out to the Lord because he hears each one of us.

Believe God for the harvest in 2013 

I've been faithfully praying for all of us. I've been faithfully looking at what the Word of God is saying and I really believe that 2013 is going to be another exciting year. We're going to see God help us. We're going to see God favor us. We're going to continue to see our churches, our region, reach into new frontiers, reach into new communities of people and our churches will continue to grow.

So, family of HIM, I just want to communicate my heart, from what we've already seen in January, from what I'm sensing in February, I really believe that we can continue to believe God. Have positive faith in what God is going to do for our year. And it's going to be a great celebration when we see God do great and wonderful things. I want us all to remember this year we are believing for harvest. This year we are believing for abundance. This year we are believing that God will add souls. Jesus says, "The harvest is plentiful. Laborers are few." Pray to the Lord that He would send forth workers.

I want to encourage us in my final minute of exhortation, that we continue to look for the harvest field, we continue to cry out to the Lord who is going to send forth the workers and we continue to believe that we are going to see the harvest come into our churches as well. This year we are going to believe for multiplication, for addition of souls into our community. Can we really believe God together for this? And I really believe that this is going to be given by the Lord to each one of our congregations. Amen
