Together, we can do more! Our Community Impact Network is growing!
At the recent Global Conference in Kuching, we hosted another Community Impact interest group. It was well attended by 24 people. it sure seems that brothers and sisters in HIM are interested in reaching the poor and marginalised in their communities.
Since the HIM Community Impact Network started meeting in January 2012 (at the Global Conference, Chiang Mai), we have had almost 60 people representing 18 centres/churches in the network! This is very exciting! To date we have representatives from Brisbane (Ablaze, Willawong and St Lucia), Adelaide, Melbourne (Frankston and Waverley), Kuching, Sibu, Penang, Johor Baru, Serdang, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok (Oasis), Hatyai, Chiang Mai, Phillipines and Singapore.
HIM Community Impact Network now has an official online presence – on Facebook!
This has been set up to help facilitate connection and networking amongst HIM churches to share ideas, inspiration, and resources on how we can best reach the vulnerable and poor in our local communities with the love of God. We look forward to hearing more and more testimonies about how God is using our churches to impact the local and global communities with His tangible love!
