PASTOR SIMON ENG MESSAGE

Hi HIM Family

Great to be able to communicate with all of you again. Let me share my heart with you.

HIM Thailand Camp

I just came back from the Thai camp not too long ago, where about 1,200 of our HIM family, people in Thailand. And it was wonderful to be able to celebrate this camp together. And what was really wonderful also was that we could see all our churches coming together and moving together as one towards the Great Commission, towards fulfilling God's vision, towards serving together as a family. It was really wonderful and I think our people in Thailand are eager, looking forward to next year to be able to send some people and plant some churches in Southeast Asia as well.

Hope Singapore Conference

I've also just come back from our Hope Singapore conference. Wow, this one was more than 4,000 people. We came together and shared and prayed, and ministered and imparted about the supernatural. And God did many supernatural things. The people received word, people were healed. There was word of knowledge and many were excited to again receive the word of moving on with training people, planting churches and being able to send people out as well. I was very encouraged and I'm sure our Thai leaders and our leaders in Singapore are extremely encouraged.

A global movement to fulfil the Great Commission

(Ps Ben & Ps Dinah in Quebec, Canada)

Let me share something that I was quickened with and I felt to encourage us as well. The first area is on the aspect of working together and committing together as a movement, global movement, global churches, to be able to fulfill the great commission. You know, after some time and if you haven't been coming to our conferences, if you haven't been meeting with our leaders or communicating with our leaders, it's very easy to feel like, "I just want to be a local church, after all I don't see the benefit of being in a bigger family". I want to encourage you to really keep to this global family picture. We are a movement. We are a family of churches. And though we maybe out there alone sometimes, but it is important for us to recognize and realize that a global family of churches can fulfill the Great Commission more effectively than us trying to do it in a local church. We are distributed in 40 countries. We are distributed in all the continents of the world and if all of our churches continue to multiply we can see that we will have a far greater reach than just one single church trying to do it alone. That's an area that I want to remind us - never, ever to forget.

Our core values

(Mission Trip to Liberia, Africa)

The next key area is actually to remember our DNA. Our mission statement tells us four key areas of our DNA. One, is that we are a family of churches desiring to fulfill the Great Commission.  Secondly, we must continue to make disciples - vibrant, biblical, Christ-centered disciples. Thirdly, we must continue to see that we need to fulfill the Great Commission by planting churches. We must continue to build vibrant, plant vibrant, biblical churches. And fourthly, we must continue to have a global picture. Not in just Jerusalem, but in Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth. These are a few key things that I just want us to keep in our heart, talk among our churches, share regularly with our congregation, so that we never forget our DNA and that we are a family of churches working together.

German Festival & Global Conference in Kuching

I pray that you and I will have a wonderful quarter coming up. I'm off to our Berlin German Festival this weekend and it's going to be all our German brothers and sisters coming together. I want to remind you about the global conference coming up in July, that is in Kuching. Check the dates and make that appointment so that we see you and we connect as a global family together as well. God bless you, have a wonderful month, have a wonderful time until I communicate with you again. God bless you.
