HIM FAMILY NEWS

Hope Kids Philippines Camp

From 29 April-1 May, Hope Kids Philippines held their annual Kids Camp with the theme "One Way". Thirty-eight students registered for the camp and almost 30 volunteers, from youth, young professionals and family care groups, joined the event. The children learned that there is only One Way to be saved, and that is through Jesus Christ. They also had fun doing arts & crafts by using tissue paper dipped in watercolor. They played "larong pinoy" (Filipino games) like patintero. The teachers dressed up as scientists and taught the children about density by doing experiments with them. They were separated into three age groups: the joy class, for 4-6 year-olds; the love class, for 7-9; and the peace class for 10-12 year-olds.

The camp opened a way for the children to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior and it helped them release their pain, anger and unforgiveness to God. The highlight of the camp was the third day when teachers and volunteers prayed for the children to be baptized in the Holy Spirit as they claim the promise in Joel 2:28: “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions."

There were also children who were not baptized in the Holy Spirit, but saw visions while teachers were praying for them:

Jason, 13: while praying, he saw a vision of Jesus coming out of a door and coming towards him. When He was about to leave, Jason touched His arm and the vision stopped.

Kate Parada - While someone was praying for her, Kate saw flashbacks of everything that has happened in her life. It was like watching a movie of her life and she began to cry knowing that Jesus knew her full story.

Cyril Bon, 10 - saw a man in white standing in front of him with the message-if he will not repent, he will be punished.

One intercessor received a message from God saying these children are like sheep without a shepherd. God loves these children. He has compassion on them and they should not be left out. The three-day camp will always be remembered, not just by the kids who attended, but for all teachers and volunteers who have seen and experienced how God moves in the hearts of these children. So we ask for more of your prayers for Hope Kids Philippines as God is going to use these children mightily in His kingdom. Praise and glory be to God alone!

Mothers’ Day Celebration, Philippines

I am very excited about what God is doing in our church. Praise God for giving us a wonderful celebration for Mothers’ Day on 13 May.

Each mother received a crafted fan that was handed to her by our ushers. One of our members shared her testimony on how God truly blessed her marriage because the couple learned to surrender everything to Him and to be under the submission of the church leadership. The message concentrated on the “three things that make an outstanding woman”. We truly made this day special because everyone excitedly brought in friends and their mothers. Our service attendance was 72 and 19 mothers received a special prayer from Ps Henry Sevilleno.

Hope Kuala Lumpur Bible Conference – "Supernatural"

The recent Bible Conference indeed lived up to its theme – “Supernatural”. From the beginning until the end of the conference, we felt God’s presence so tangibly in every corner of the hall. Everyone who came for BC was filled with joy and utmost peace in His presence. All had a great time of praising and worshipping God, dancing and singing to lift His name up high.

This time around, we had our in-house speakers, Pastor Simon and Pastor Moses. Both of these anointed speakers shared on different aspects of supernatural increase. The four aspects were supernatural increase of faith, increase of anointing, increase of leadership in each person and increase of wisdom in life. All of the teachings were impactful during the whole conference.

Starting from the impartation of supernatural faith in terms of breaking the boundaries and obedience to His Word, supernatural anointing as seen in the chosen ones used by God, supernatural leadership as ordained by God and finally to supernatural wisdom that only God can give, all these truly counted as remarkable life changes to those who attended BC. Many responded to God’s supernatural call for their lives as they submitted to His will.

Also, as God reigned in that hall, many were filled again with supernatural faith, anointing, leadership skills and wisdom that could only come from Him alone. It was that personal touch from God that made all the difference in one’s life. The wonderful thing about it is we believe something great will definitely happen when we have a supernatural God living in us. Amen! We truly believe that delegates everywhere did not walk out from that conference feeling the same as they first went in. Something definitely had changed them from inside out because God’s presence is just too marvellous to be ignored. Testimonies after testimonies are bound to rise and all glory shall go to our Father in heaven. Hallelujah!!

Hope Brisbane - Ablaze Youth 5th Year Anniversary

On the 16th of March 2012, Ablaze celebrated it’s 5th year in serving God and it’s community with a quaint service of finger food and live music. It was a time of gratitude for all the blessings and trying times God has brought us through, and a time of looking ahead to what He has installed for our future.

The evening started off with a bang as we lift the Name of God through songs of praise. A homegrown multimedia was then shown, as we were all ears and eyes to what a few of our Ablaze members had to say about the God of our past, present, and our future! A heart-warming testimony by one of our Ablaze member, Sally, followed thereafter as she shared how God met with her and transformed her life through the ministry of our service. The worship team then brought us into a powerful time of worship as we broke into songs of adoration and thanksgiving unto our Lord.

Our service coordinator, Torch then took the stage by bringing home an inspiring message based on Isaiah 43.

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV) "Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

Torch encouraged Ablaze to not only live in the present but lay hold onto what our Lord has in stored for us in the future. The service was then capped with an impromptu prayer for Torch by the host and service as we gratefully remember the countless hours and investment Torch has made in the ministry of our service.

That evening ended with some light refreshments and a few hidden talents were discovered as many graced us with their beautiful voices and skilled guitar skills during our live music performance – a cherry on top of a delicious cake, one might add! It was indeed an evening of nostalgia, personal touches, intimate worship and tender.
