HOPE CONFERENCE - SINGAPORE
Transforming lives around the world is a mammoth task that only a great God can fulfil. That is why we had the WholeCity, Whole World (WCWW) Conference 2011: to tap into the power of the HolySpirit to change lives in our cities and impact the world. On 30-31 July, the Singapore Indoor Stadium was transformed into a sanctuary of praise, as Hope members all around the world convened to sing their hearts out to Christ and feast on His word.
Senior Pastor Jeff Chong of Hope Church Singapore kicked start the conference with a sermon on how individual transformation can influence the church and the world. Pastor Simon Eng, President of Hope International Ministries (HIM), challenged us, individuals changed by Christ, to respond to God’s call for missions.
We also had the pleasure of hearing from Reverend Mark Conner, who shared God’s heartbeat about reaching out to our city and impacting the world through missions. In an intimate interview with RevConner, the Senior Minister of Citylife Church in Australia, the gentle giant shared candidly about leadership and parenthood.
And who can forget the panel interview with four movers and shakers of Singapore’s society? We had four speakers who lived lives influencing society in education, reaching out to the disadvantaged, family and entertainment. They inspired us with their determination not to compromise on God’s standards in their spheres of influence, and their fire to accomplish God’s will in Singapore.

Then it was time to celebrate! Hope Church Singapore has just walked 20 amazing, faith-filled years with God. After a moving video commemorating how the pioneer members went out in faith to start a Hope church in Singapore, Hope membersaround the world shared in the joy as we sang and danced with abandonment in praise and worship. Spiritual disco, anyone?
The conference rounded off with Kairos night, where the Holy Spirit showed up in a powerful way. We witnessed its manifestation in the healing of several brothers and sisters and in the rousing prophecies that were spoken. Chains were broken, priorities were realigned and a passion for His name was fanned into flame. God, we cannot wait to meet You as a worldwide congregation again in our next conference!
