PASTOR SIMON ENG MESSAGE

Hi wonderful family of HIM! It is wonderful to be able to communicate with you. Let me share my heart with you in this message.

The topic of passion has been on my heart all these months; it was the theme of the January Global Conference. I would like to communicate more on this topic so that all of us may continue to be people of passion. We want to be passionate people, because as we go about our life with God, as we go about our walk with God and as we go about serving God; passion is such a valuable quality in our lives. Let me just encourage you in three areas.

Be passionate about God

Let us be passionate about God. I want to be a person passionately seeking after God. Daily as I wake up, as I go about performing my roles and responsibilities, as I go about relating with God, I want to check my heart - that I am passionate. I want to be passionate in my worship, I want to passionately desire to really be in His presence because His presence is strength to me; His presence fills my heart with meaning and joy. Brothers and sisters, I want to encourage you to passionately seek after God. Passionately desire an experience and encounter with God. And I pray that all our people around the world will passionately seek after and know God in their hearts as well.

Be passionate about caring for people

I am also thinking about the second area: being passionate people. We want to be passionate people and to be passionate about people. In everything that we do in ministry, we are going to encounter people; we are going to touch people. I try to daily think about our pastors, our leaders, our churches. I come to God and I bring these people to the Lord and I really want to passionately think about how I can invest into their lives, how I can make something worthwhile happen in their lives as I pray, as I Skype with them, as I relate with them. I want to be a person who is passionate about people. I want to be passionate about investing into people's lives because people are such a valuable treasure that God has put into our lives. I encourage every one of us, look at our people carefully. If there are people we have been avoiding or forgetting, I ask you to revive your hearts again to be passionate our people as well. They are the ones who are going to rise up’ they are the ones who are going to take the deposit of God into the work of the kingdom of God as well.

Be passionate about the Great Commission

The third area that I would like to share is to be passionate about God's Great Commission. This is our mission: we want to take the Gospel into every nation of the world and every people group around the world. We want to do it locally and globally. I want to encourage us to passionately look at the Great Commission every day and ask, “How can I make a worthwhile contribution? What can I do?” As every day goes by, as every quarter goes by; we want to make our lives count towards our mission. As the months, quarter and years go by, I pray that we can look back and say that we are advancing the Great Commission. I continue to pray that all of our churches in all of the regions of the world will be able to passionately serve in missions, to passionately build our people and move this Great Commission. I want to see in 2011 a greater advancement in our Great Commission desire for God. Brothers and sisters, it is an exciting time to serve God. It is an exciting time to continue to advance this year. I once again, would like to encourage us to be passionate about everything that we do for God, for our people, and towards the Great Commission.

May God continue to be with you throughout in the weeks and months that you are serving God this year. I will be travelling to Oceania for the Oceania Convention in April. If you will be there, I look forward to seeing you. As many of you are also preparing for your camps, for your conventions; I pray that God's anointing, God's presence will fill all our people and we will have such a great experience with God in our time together.

God be with you all. Have a wonderful time ahead. Amen.
