PASTOR SIMON ENG JULY MESSAGE

Hi, I am Pastor Simon Eng. I am the President of HIM which stands for Hope International Ministries. We are a family of churches distributed around 40 countries in the world. We are a global community which desires to fulfill the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ as stated in the Gospel. We endeavor to be faithful to Jesus' command to go into the world, preach the gospel, and make disciples of all nations. We are also connected together and committed together through ten core values which we treasure very much. Let me just share with you some of these core values.

For example, we are bible-based. It means that we are committed to following the Bible: its teachings and what is shared by the Scriptures. We endeavor to be faithful in teaching the Bible as well. In our conferences, churches, leadership training and in our mentoring of one another, we desire to remain faithful to the Bible.

Another core value which we value very much is mentoring; discipleship making and being a spiritual helper. We desire to look after our people through the aspect of mentoring. We develop their foundations and teach them the Bible so that they will grow up to establish ministries, fulfill their gifting in God and are able to help others. Some rise up to leadership roles; others fulfill the Great Commission while some become ministers in their own right. So we endeavor to train them in their ministries.

A third core value that we treasure is being a life-enriching community. We desire to touch the community leading us to organize various charitable activities. For example, we have Christmas activities which we invite the community, both adults and children, to come. There are also blood donation services where we can bless the communities which are in need. We collect funds and clothing and other items that are beneficial in times of natural disasters such as flood, earthquakes and famine. When there are communities around the world that are in need, we are able to connect together globally to be able to touch and bless those communities. So we desire to be a life-enriching community.

We are in North and South America, we are in Europe, we are in Africa, we are big in Asia; particularly Southeast Asia, and we are over in Australia (and New Zealand) where we have churches in the main cities.
